Meet Dr. Rathjen
Craig L. Rathjen, DDS
Dr. Rathjen, Dentist – My introduction to dentistry came early in life, primarily due to two people whom I greatly admired–our next-door neighbor who was an orthodontist, and my confirmation sponsor in the church who was our family dentist. As a high school student and college undergraduate, my career path never waivered. Since my graduation from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, I have vigorously pursued my dental education through participation in numerous study clubs, attending continuing education courses too numerous to list, and participating in an 11-course curriculum at the Center for Advanced Dentistry in St. Petersburg, Florida. All of this has prepared me to better help my patients to get the most of the one thing that has such a profound effect on their relationships, first impressions, and life challenges–their smile! The most joy and fulfillment that I experience as a dentist is the happiness and satisfaction that I see in the faces of my patients who have discovered how quality dental care can improve their lives and give them that beautiful smile they have always wanted!
My hobbies include hunting, fishing, golfing, and competing in trap and skeet, but my passion is my family–my wife, our kids and grandkids.

Robynn, Dental Hygienist
I grew up liking the dentist and teeth. This helped me decide on a career in dentistry. I graduated dental assisting school in 1996 and worked as an assistant for 6 years. I received my dental hygiene degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2002. Since then I have been working as a hygienist. I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Rathjen and his team since 2016. I enjoy working with people and educating them on their dental health.

I graduated from the dental assisting program at Century College in 2004. I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Rathjen and his dental team since 2013. The best part of my job is the patients. I have met so many great people at Northpointe Dental Care many of them have been coming to see Dr. Rathjen for over 35 years. I enjoy helping patients have a positive dental experience.

I graduated from Lakeland Dental Academy obtaining my CDA, LDA license in 1996. I absolutely love helping my patients achieve their overall optimum oral health goals.
I feel so fortunate to be here with Dr. Rathjen and the entire team. All of the wonderful patients and my awesome co-workers make coming to work very enjoyable each day.

I have been the business assistant at Northpointe Dental Care since October of 2000. I knew since I was a little girl that I wanted to be a dental assistant, and I was fortunate enough to follow that dream. I was a dental assistant and dental lab technician for twenty years in Illinois before moving to Minnesota in 1995.
I am educated in all aspects of dentistry which allows me to help patients understand their treatment. I carefully review our patients’ insurance coverage so that I may best help them coordinate their benefits. I also discuss the cost of treatment and financial options.
My greatest reward working in dentistry is helping patients overcome their fear and achieve great dental health. We have so many patients who were almost too afraid to walk in the door and have grown to trust us. Now they come in smiling, sharing pictures of their family and regaling us with vacation stories. That is such a great feeling for all of us!

I have worked for Northpointe Dental Care since 1988. Over the years, I have had the pleasure of working with my husband, Dr. Rathjen, and his tremendous staff members, but our current dental team is the greatest! They are extremely knowledgeable and caring individuals who will take whatever time is necessary to make each patient’s dental experience a positive one. I am very proud to be a member of this dental team.
